This natural rubber playmat for Red Rising has double-stitched edges for durability and is an exact copy of the original board; it measures 410x284mm. It is single-sided (the bottom side has a grip surface). It ships in a sturdy cardboard tube.
Why switch to a natural rubber playmat? Some players prefer this neoprene-like material because it's easier to remove cards from them.
The rubber backing grips my table so well that the mat doesn't slide even when I'm reaching across the board. The 410x284mm size lines up perfectly with the original board, so nothing gets cut off or misaligned.
The double-stitched edges really show—mine's been rolled and unrolled a dozen times with no fraying. It's the exact size of the original board, so everything lines up perfectly with no sliding around mid-game.
Fits the table like a glove—I laid it over the board and every hexagon lined up perfectly. The grip on the bottom keeps it from sliding even when we get a little rowdy mid-game.
