Why switch to natural rubber for Wyrmspan? Some players prefer this neoprene-like material because it's easier to remove cards from them. Each playmat is sold separately so you can buy exactly as many as you need (i.e., if you usually play Wyrmspan with 1 other person, you could buy 2; Wyrmspan plays up to 5 players).
Cards slide off this mat way easier than the neoprene one I used before, no more pinched corners when I'm pulling a dragon out. The rubber grips the table so it doesn't slide around mid-game either.
The natural rubber really does make a difference when you're pulling cards off it—way less fiddling than my old mat. I only grabbed one to test it out since they're sold separately, but now I'm going back for the rest of the set.
I was skeptical about spending extra on a mat, but the natural rubber surface really does make picking up cards a breeze—no more bent corners from prying them off the table. It lies completely flat right out of the packaging, and buying just one was perfect for the solo games I play most.
