These 16 custom printed wooden tokens are designed to replace the cardboard map tokens (each with a unique hidden benefit) in Gears of Corruption. They are mechanically identical to the cardboard map tokens in the expansion.
The printed wood feels way nicer to handle than the flimsy cardboard ever did, and the hidden benefits are still readable after a dozen game nights. Sixteen tokens covers everything in the box, no complaints.
Swapped out the cardboard map tokens for these and the table presence is a huge upgrade. All 16 line up perfectly with the hidden benefits, so no rulebook cross-checking mid-game. They're lighter than they look, which honestly makes shuffling them around the board less fiddly.
The wood grain on these feels way better in hand than the flimsy cardboard ones, and they fit the map spaces perfectly. Sixteen tokens means my whole group gets to flip them around without worrying about bent corners.
