A quick FAQ on the Pie in the Sky: Player Token Pack: what it adds, whether you need it, and how it fits with your My Little Scythe components.
Quick answer
The Pie in the Sky: Player Token Pack is a small official Stonemaier Games accessory that adds player tokens missing from the base Pie in the Sky box. Buy it if you want a complete token set for your sessions; skip it if you already have enough tokens for your player count.
Why a separate token pack exists
Pie in the Sky is an expansion for My Little Scythe, and its base box includes the core components needed to play. The Player Token Pack fills specific gaps with a few additional player tokens that are not in the original box. That makes it a targeted add-on rather than a full component overhaul.
When the pack is worth adding
If you play with higher player counts or simply prefer each player to have a complete, matching token set, the pack removes the need to substitute or share tokens. It is also a low-cost way to replace lost or damaged player tokens without buying a whole new expansion.
What it does not do
This is not a storage solution or a cosmetic upgrade for every component. It does not replace the base game tokens, and it does not add new gameplay. Treat it as a completion piece: useful if you notice missing tokens during setup, unnecessary if your current set already covers your group.
Pie in the Sky token pack FAQ
- What exactly is in the pack?
- The pack contains a few player tokens that are not included in the base Pie in the Sky box. It is designed to supplement the base game, not to replace it.
- Do I need it to play Pie in the Sky?
- No. The base expansion is playable on its own. The pack is for players who want the additional tokens for a more complete set.
- Will these tokens work as a My Little Scythe token upgrade?
- They are official Pie in the Sky player tokens, so they match the expansion's components. They are not a universal token upgrade for every My Little Scythe piece.
- How many tokens come in the pack?
- The catalog describes 'a few' player tokens but does not list an exact count. Check the product page or your base game inventory if you need a precise number before ordering.
- Is this a good value?
- At the catalog price of USD 0.61 (compared to USD 1.00), it is an inexpensive way to complete your token set. Whether it is worth it depends on whether you are missing tokens in your current sessions.
