These 54 thick metal doubloon coins were designed specifically for Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest (the game includes cardboard coins). There are 24 copper-colored $1 coins, 18 silver-colored $3 coins, and 12 gold-colored $5 coins, each with the same image on both sides.
The copper and silver tones really pop on the table, and the weight makes them satisfying to stack. These add a premium feel to our game nights without being too clinky.
Swapped out the cardboard coins for these and the copper and silver colors make it so much easier to tell the $1s from the $3s at a glance. The 54-count is exactly enough for a full four-player game, and they stack nicely without sliding around.
The weight of these in your hand makes the cardboard originals feel like placeholders. I like that the 24 copper $1 and 18 silver coins are visually distinct enough to sort without squinting, and 54 pieces covers a full four-player game with room to spare.
